20,000 total input + output tokens, valid for seven days after claim. Remaining: 0. Manage trial. Paid credit is never used automatically. One trial request at a time; smaller prompts and output limits help fit your remaining allowance.

Text only · up to 32,000 characters. The full answer appears when the request finishes. Paid requests place a temporary hold, then charge for actual token usage.

RESPONSE
↗

Your answer will appear here.

Enter a prompt or choose an example. After the response, you can review the token usage and cost.

Use the DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 playground to try a prompt before adding the API to your app. Start with an example or paste your own text, choose your settings, and review the answer and token usage together.

Run a prompt

  1. Sign in with a verified account.
  2. Claim your trial from your account, if available, or choose a paid USD balance.
  3. Enter a prompt or select one of the examples.
  4. Choose a thinking level and an output limit, then run the prompt.

The response appears after the model finishes. You can review the answer, any returned reasoning, total token usage, and the charge or trial tokens used.

Choose your credit source

The free trial covers 20,000 input and output tokens, including cached input, for seven days after claim. It is separate from your paid balance. Select Free trial tokens to use it; the playground will never switch to paid credit automatically.

Choose Paid USD balance to use purchased credit. Before a paid request runs, you can see the maximum amount reserved for it. The final charge is based on actual usage, and the unused portion is released. See token rates.

Adjust thinking and output length

Leave thinking off for a direct answer. Use a higher thinking level for a problem that needs several steps, then compare the result with a simpler setting. Reasoning can use part of the output allowance, so a longer reasoning trace may leave less room for the final answer.

The output limit controls the maximum number of generated tokens. Smaller limits help conserve trial tokens; larger limits give the model more room to respond. Input is limited to 32,000 characters.

Try a useful task

Review code. Paste a short function and ask for a failing input, a minimal fix, and a regression test. Run the proposed tests before using the code.

Extract data. Supply a few notes and ask for named JSON fields. Specify null for missing values, then check the output with your parser.

Compare documents. Paste two sections and ask for differences, contradictions, and supporting quotations. Check the quotations against the originals.

Playground questions

Can I upload images?

The playground accepts text. Although DeepSeek V4.1 Flash supports images upstream, image input is not supported by this service.

Where can I find previous requests?

Open Usage and requests. Playground input and output are available for 30 days from each request. API content is available for seven days. Usage and billing records are retained separately.

What if my trial runs out?

The request will not automatically use paid credit. Choose a smaller prompt and output limit if you have trial tokens left, or select Paid USD balance to continue with purchased credit.

What if a request is still pending?

Check its status in your account. If the result cannot be confirmed, its reserved credit stays on hold for review. Contact support with the request ID rather than starting the same task repeatedly.

Are the example prompts real model results?

They are prompts you can run yourself. They do not include pre-generated answers or claim a particular success rate.
